General questions

• What services does "collagist" offer?
Collagist creates custom collages from your digital pictures or photographs. Your collage may be printed as a poster upto 24x36 inches in size.
• How do you create a collage from regular photographs?
We scan your pictures in to digital format and then use the software to create digital and print collages. Your original photos will be returned undamaged.
• Where do I ship the photographs to make a collage?
You may send your photographs to us via mail at the following address:

We will scan your photographs into digital form and make a collage using these digital pictures. Your photographs will not be harmed in any way and will be returned to you undamaged.
• What is the best resolution for digital pictures to create a collage?
Digital pictures at 1024x768 pixels or higher size will make a good collage. Usually, pictures taken with digital cameras with 2 Mega pixels or higher resolution will be suitable for making a collage.
• What digital image formats do you accept?
Currently we accept digital pictures in JPG and GIF formats.
• What is your policy with copyrighted material?
Copyrighted material can not be reproduced without the written permission. It is your responsibility to obtain a written permission from the copyright holder before placing your order with us.
• How do you create a custom collage?
We use different software programs to create a custom collage from your digital or print pictures and then apply your preferences and title/captions to the collage.

Pricing and Shipping Questions

• How much does a collage cost?
Prices start at $20 for custom collage designs and start at $14 for standard collage designs. Please see our pricing section for more information.
• How do you deliver the collage?
We create a high resolution collage and get it printed on a archival quality paper. Prints will be delivered to your address in a protective envelope or poster tube.
• What are the shipping charges and do you offer rush service?
We offer standard and rush shipping service for a fee. Please look at our pricing section for shipping charges.
• Do you ship to Canadian addresses?
Yes we do. We get a lot of orders from our Canadian customers. Please look at our pricing section for shipping options and prices for Canada.
• Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes. If you are interested in purchasing one of our packages as a gift certificate please go to our gift certificates section.

Your Order Related Questions

• How long does it take to get a draft/preview of my collage?
After you place your order, we take up to 48 hours to prepare 2 collage proofs for your review. We will send you an email when the proofs are ready.
• How long does it take to get the final copy of my collage?
After you review and approve a collage, we would take another 24 hours to complete your final collage. So, within 3 days of placing your order we will deliver your collage to you.
• How do you inform me about the status of my order
We send you email when we prepare the proofs and the final collage. You can also check the status of your order on our website.
• What if I do not like my collage or not satisfied with my package?
We are sure that you like your collage. For some reason, you do not like your collage we will work with you to create a collage of your choice.
• What is your return policy?
If you return your print collage within 7 days of receiving your collage we will return your money back.
• Can I make any changes to the collage after it is finalized?
As it would involve considerable amount of time to reload your pictures and prepare the collage we suggest that you choose and finalize your settings during the time of preview creation. For whatever reason you are not happy with your settings then we can update your collage for a nominal fee. Please contact us at orders@collagist.com.

Collage Design and Other Questions

• Do you fix red eye in the photographs before making a collage?
Yes we do. Please mention under special instructions section about removing red eye while placing your order.
• Do you frame the collage posters?
No. As it may be difficult to decide on the design and style of the frames we do not offer this service. If you absolutely need to have the collage framed then we can work with you to get the framing done for an additional fee.
